If one Barbenheimer wasn’t enough, another one is coming out soon. No, this is not a clash of the sequels of Barbie and Oppenheimer, but an actual film that combines the plots of both films. According to The Hollywood Reporter, B-list icon Charles Band is making a doll-and-bomb-themed movie of the same name. Charles Band detailed the Barbenheimer plot, in which a doll scientist named Dr. Bambi J Barbenheimer, living in the city of Dolltopia, resents the way people treat dolls.
So he sets out on a mission to explode the real world with a giant nuclear bomb. Barbenheimer’s synopsis states, “They have a great look and a great attitude! And now they have a bomb.
”Charles Band on Barbenheimer Charles admitted that he was cashing in on the Barbie-Oppenheimer clash, which led to many memes and chatter on social media. “But it’s also an opportunity to have fun with the bizarre juxtaposition of the two films and the combination of the atmosphere of Barbie and the darkness of Oppenheimer.
You mix it together and you have an opportunity for dark humor,” Charles said. “It seems like every other movie is dark and depressing and it’s like, God, we need some humor by 2024,” he added. Charles Band is best known for their 1985 cult classic Re-Animator.
About Barbenheimer, clash Greta Gerwig’s satire starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Christopher Nolan’s biographical film about J. Robert Oppenheimer with Cillian Murphy in the title role did not break the coveted milestone, but it still caused quite a stir at the global box office. So much so that legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese called Barbenheimer a “perfect storm” in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times.
